Dodge Charger Daytona EV Has Convincing “Exhaust” For An EV

In one of the most disappointing moments of this decade, Dodge announced in 2022 that they would end production of the V8 Charger in favor of an electric replacement 😭. Considering how Dodge has become iconic for its tire squealing, smoke-making, and rumbling V8 engines, this sent many car enthusiasts into a deep depression. Despite losing a soul, the electric Charger Daytona retained the same iconic look with a new modern take while making up to 670 horsepower.

What is most interesting about the EV Charger is it features a “Fratzonic Exhaust System”. Whoever came up with that name deserves to be fired. While Dodge has not revealed much about how this system works, it is believed it utilizes two passive radiators which increase in sound as speed does. The system will make some gnarly sound as it can reach as high as 126 decibels. The car can also be driven around in stealth mode with no sound but anyone who does it is the lamest of all time.

South Pasadena Becomes First City In America To Have a Fully Electric Police Fleet

California is taking the green revolution one step further with South Pasadena, a suburb of Los Angeles, becoming the first city in the Nation to have a fully electrified police force. Modified by Unplugged Performance, a California-based tuner of Teslas, the South Pasadena Police Department has taken on twenty modified Tesla Model Y’s. The city cited the need for these vehicles as not only a way to reduce its carbon footprint but also to reduce city expenditures and create a healthier environment for its citizens.

A major problem with police cars is they sit idle at stations, traffic stops, and other locations around the cities they are serving. With the engine constantly idling, it not only wastes fuel but pollutes the environment by spewing more CO2 and noise into the surrounding city. EVs solve these issues as they do not have a gasoline engine idling at a traffic stop as all of the tech insides can be run off of the main battery. The city plans to install 25 chargers at South Pasadena city hall to service the fleet. South Pasadena’s Ev transition will certainly serve as a model for other police departments across the country as they make the transition.

Ford Cop Cars Will Make It Easier For Cops To Catch You Speeding

Car Enthusiasts Beware ‼️‼️‼️‼️Ford is going to make it much easier for cops to opp you and catch you speeding if their new patent becomes reality. This new system can be equipped on any Ford Police Interceptor Vehicle which can identify vehicles that exceed a certain speed threshold. This will then trigger an onboard camera to take a picture of the naughty car’s license plate making it easier for law enforcement officers to hand out speeding tickets.

The information collected by one car can then be shared with a network of other cars in a police unit’s fleet to allow officers to track down the vehicle and hand out a ticket. Essentially, it will work like a traffic camera and a radar gun but when are unsure if the system will give out automatic tickets or if a police officer will be required to issue them. Something which is worth noting is many media outlets have incorrectly reported it will share information from the driver’s car. However, it will only use sensors found on a Ford police vehicle.

Some Tacoma Owners Reportedly Facing Transmissions Issues

Toyota has certainly not been having a brat summer as just after having to recall 102,000 Tundra and Lexus LX models to replace their engines for free, some Tacoma owners have reportedly been facing transmission issues. According to The Drive, Tacoma owners first began reporting issues in June on forums on new 2024 models. Considering how the 2024 Tacoma has only been around for a few months, it is concerning to find out that vehicles with just 1,000 miles on them may be facing major mechanical failure.

What makes matters even worse is the owners of these brand-spankin’ new trucks are having to wait as long as two to four months for new transmissions due to shortages. While issues are being reported, it is important to note that a recall has not been issued by the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration nor is there is investigation. We will continue to update you guys as the situation unfolds.
